01 · The presenting picture

The history described reactions to traffic, people and dogs, difficult lead walking and unreliable recall. Ball play was a strong source of interest.

The account mentioned nips without enough incident detail to establish their context or severity. That uncertainty remained relevant to handling and could not become a blanket claim of no bite history.

02 · What the audit identified

Jet barked and lunged on the lead and appeared fearful outside. In the field, Jet played, showed interest in the ball and approached the trainer voluntarily. Pulling and a reaction to another dog were observed during the walking assessment.

03 · The Canine UK strategy

  • Build engagement using activities Jet finds rewarding.
  • Develop clearer lead communication and familiar cues.
  • Progress through controlled distractions at a manageable level.
  • Include appropriate safety management and owner handling practice.

04 · Recommended pathway

  • The report proposed an individual foundation programme, including review of handling and possible muzzle training.
  • The proposed sessions are not evidence of attendance. No later record establishes improved recall, reduced reactivity or resolution of the reported contact concerns.

05 · Owner transfer and maintenance

The owner pathway focused on carrying clearer communication into daily walks while using manageable environments and suitable motivation. Jet's more relaxed field behaviour offered information about where learning could begin.
