Website Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 August 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Canine UK website. By using this website, you agree to these terms.
Separate terms and conditions apply when you book or purchase a consultation, Behavioural Audit, training session, programme, event, product or other service from Canine UK. Where separate terms are provided in connection with a purchase or booking, those terms will form part of the agreement relating to that service or purchase.
1. About This Website
This website provides information about Canine UK, our approach, services, programmes, trainers, educational content and other activities.
Content is provided for general information and education only. Information presented on this website should not be treated as an individual behavioural assessment, diagnosis, veterinary opinion or recommendation for a particular dog.
Dogs, owners and circumstances differ. Appropriate training and behavioural strategies depend on factors including individual behaviour, learning history, genetics, health, environment, lifestyle, handling and owner participation.
2. No Guarantee of Behavioural Outcomes
Examples, case studies, testimonials and descriptions of previous dogs are provided to illustrate our work and approach.
They do not guarantee that another dog will achieve the same or similar results.
Behavioural change is influenced by multiple factors, including the individual dog, consistency of implementation, environment, health, previous learning and owner participation.
3. Safety and Veterinary Matters
Information on this website is not veterinary advice and does not replace examination, diagnosis or treatment by a veterinary surgeon.
Where illness, injury, pain or another medical issue is suspected, appropriate veterinary advice should be sought.
Where a dog presents an immediate risk to a person or animal, appropriate safety and management measures should be taken. General website information should not be relied upon as a substitute for individual professional assessment of a high-risk behavioural case.
4. Enquiries and Bookings
Submitting an enquiry, contact form or other request through this website does not itself create a booking or contractual commitment from Canine UK.
A booking is subject to availability, any applicable eligibility or prerequisite requirements, payment where required and acceptance in accordance with the terms applying to that service.
Some Canine UK services require completion of a Behavioural Audit before training can commence. Where a prerequisite applies, this will be identified within the relevant service information or booking process.
5. Prices and Service Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that service descriptions, prices and other information displayed on the website are accurate.
Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where stated.
Services, programme content, trainer availability and prices may change from time to time. Any changes will not affect a confirmed booking except where permitted by the terms applicable to that booking or by law.
If an obvious error appears on the website, we reserve the right to correct it.
6. Website Content
We take reasonable care when preparing information for this website but cannot guarantee that every page will always be completely current, error-free or suitable for every individual circumstance.
Canine behaviour and training are context-dependent. You should not apply general information from this website to a dog where doing so would create a foreseeable safety or welfare risk.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including text, training materials, educational resources, graphics, branding, photographs, videos, downloads and other original material, is owned by or licensed to Canine UK and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may view and use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, substantially copy, modify or present Canine UK content as your own without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms prevents lawful quotation, review, criticism or any other use permitted by applicable copyright law.
8. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or associated systems;
- knowingly introduce viruses, malware or other harmful technology;
- interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- use automated systems to extract substantial amounts of website content without permission where such activity is unlawful;
- use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes; or
- use Canine UK intellectual property in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, affiliation or authorship.
9. Third-Party Websites and Services
The website may contain links to third-party websites, booking platforms, payment providers, social media platforms or other external services.
Links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute endorsement.
Canine UK does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Website Availability
We do not guarantee that the website, or any particular part of it, will always be available or uninterrupted.
We may update, suspend, withdraw or change website content or functionality where reasonably necessary.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable consumer law.
To the extent permitted by law, Canine UK is not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general website information where an individual professional assessment would reasonably have been required.
If you purchase services from Canine UK, our responsibilities in relation to those services are governed by the terms applicable to your booking and your statutory rights.
Nothing in these Website Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Privacy and Cookies
Personal information collected through this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained through our Cookie Notice and cookie controls where applicable.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Website Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our services, our business or applicable law.
The current version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections and rights available to you under the law applicable where you live.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have regarding where legal proceedings may lawfully be brought.
