Young puppy beginning its early development training

Up to 6 months of age

Build the foundations before the problems begin.

Our Early Development Programme supports you through the most influential stage of your puppy’s development. Across a structured combination of professional guidance and practical training, we focus on communication, engagement, recall, lead skills, handling, social development, environmental exposure, confidence, boundaries and everyday life skills.

The programme is designed to help you understand not just what to teach your puppy, but how to shape the behaviours and habits you want to carry into adulthood.

What is included

Programme Structure

2 × 45-minute online consultations

Dedicated one-to-one consultations giving us time to discuss your puppy’s development, home routine, emerging behaviours and training progress. We’ll answer questions, troubleshoot problems early and give you clear guidance on what to focus on between practical sessions.

3 × 45-minute practical training sessions

Hands-on, in-person sessions where we work directly with you and your puppy. We’ll develop essential training foundations, handling skills, engagement, recall, lead work and appropriate exposure to everyday environments, progressing the training as your puppy develops.

Ongoing WhatsApp support

Support throughout the programme for questions, training updates and guidance between your scheduled sessions, helping you stay consistent as your puppy grows.

Each stage builds on the last, giving you the practical skills and understanding needed to continue developing your puppy well beyond the programme.

Frequently asked questions

Before you enquire.

What age is the programme for?

The Early Development Programme is for puppies up to six months of age. We will consider your puppy’s age and individual stage of development when planning the work.

Does my puppy need a Behavioural Audit first?

No. Puppies under six months are an exception to our Behavioural Audit requirement and can access dedicated puppy services directly.

Is this only for puppies with problems?

No. The programme is designed to build strong foundations before difficulties become established, while also helping owners address age-appropriate challenges already appearing.

Will the training be tailored to my puppy?

Yes. We consider your puppy’s genetics, breed characteristics, temperament, development, environment, lifestyle and your priorities. Every puppy is an individual, so training is tailored accordingly rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan.
